GROUNDED 5786: "Grounded In Thanksgiving"

As we begin a new year on the Hebrew calendar—Rosh Hashanah having just passed—the Lord has placed a word in my spirit: this is the year to be grounded and anchored in Him.

I’ve released a word about the year 5786 being the “Year of the Anchor.” This is tied to the symbolic meaning of the number 86 and its connection to the VAV, which looks like a hook.

The Lord has shown me how He wants to anchor His people in this season. There are going to be strong headwinds—socially, culturally, even environmentally. If you think it’s been disorienting already, we’re just at the beginning. But in the hurricane-force winds of culture, God is calling us to anchor ourselves deeply in Him.

The Power of Thanksgiving

The first step in anchoring ourselves is through thanksgiving and gratefulness. Thanksgiving guards your heart and mind, and it breaks the grip of worry and fear.
