"The Real Meaning Of 67"

FaithFire Media Season 6 Episode 2

A throwaway “6-7” might feel like a joke, but we trace it to a deeper ache: a generation mourning what feels missing and reaching for something real. We follow a surprising biblical path—from Abel Mizraim in Genesis 50 to Agrippa in Acts 26—to reveal a pattern of grief, longing, and the threshold of surrender. Along the way, we wrestle with information overload, the allure of spiritual talk without transformation, and the quiet ways God still breaks in when people groan for deliverance.

We share a candid look at youth culture—idolizing fame, drowning in content, and yet starving for unconditional love—and then hold it up to the promise of Exodus 2: God hears, remembers, sees, and acts. The conversation digs into new data on Gen Z and millennial faith, including surprising growth trends and how most lifelong commitments to Jesus happen before eighteen. The takeaway isn’t a neat headline; it’s a call to humility, intercession, and presence. If cynicism says “none of this matters,” Psalm 67 answers with a counter-anthem: May God be gracious to us and bless us so His ways are known on earth.

We pray over every generation, asking for uncommon encounters with the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance, and a living knowledge of Jesus that cuts through noise. If you’ve heard “6-7” and shrugged, consider this your nudge to look again. The field isn’t barren; the meadow is beginning to yield. Listen for practical ways to pray, simple ways to witness, and a hopeful vision for what happens when mourning turns to praise.

If this resonated, share it with a friend, subscribe for more, and leave a review to help others find the message. Your voice helps carry hope to those still searching.

SPEAKER_00:

As you have, more than likely, I've been trying to figure out what's up with 6-7 everywhere and the hand motions and the you know it's just ubiquitous, it's everywhere. And I did take some time to hear the Lord after my son said, Hey, there's probably a meaning to that. You should look it up. And I began to seek the Lord, and there is an amazing amount of meat that has to do with the number 67 in Scripture. And I believe it's the heart of the Lord for you to hear this message because it's full of hope. But also there's a burden that the Lord is dealing with when it comes to this youngest generation. So I'm gonna pray that we speak with thus says the Lord, and then we honor him, and then we'll dive right in. Lord, we just come for you and your heart, your guidance, your peace, your shalom. We want nothing missing. We want no adversary to have a hold. We want no adversary to distract, distort, or keep us from the inheritance for ourselves and of our children and children's children. I now ask you, Lord, to allow the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart to be acceptable in your sight, Lord. May it be well pleasing to you, Father. In the name of the Lord Jesus, my brother, I pray. Amen. So I looked up 67, uh, a couple of real simple things I did, and you can check on this yourself. I looked up the 67th word in the uh concordance in the Old Testament and the New Testament, and it's phenomenal. So I want to just start with the Old Testament and just say simply, and this is what I wrote down after I prayed through this and sat with the Lord, that this young generation, the youngest generation, is crying out to God and they will have him. This youngest generation is crying out to God and they will have him. So the 67th word in the Old Testament is a word that's um pronounced Abel Mitzraim, Abel Mitzraim. And it means the mourning of Egypt, like crying or grieving. It also means the meadow of Egypt. So here we have this dichotomy between something that's fruitful, something that's alive, something that's hopeful, full of life, and then grieving, death, heaviness, mourning. And that's the Spirit of the Lord as he looks at this young generation. This youngest generation is a very dynamic generation. They are hungry for authentic things, and they're going to see the Spirit of God. So this word is only used one time in Scripture, Abel Mitzraim. It's used in Genesis 50, and it's used to describe the mourning of the Egyptians when Jacob died. So remember, Joseph was uh right underneath Pharaoh in terms of authority in Egypt, and Jacob comes with his brothers, and they are saved from the famine, and they are reunited. But Jacob dies. And so, because Egypt loved Joseph so much, because they had been so ministered to, they mourned as if it were their own father. So they were mourning for their father. They were mourning for this man of God. They were mourning, they were grieving because something had been lost that represented the love of God. That something was being taken from them that they felt was such a strong implication of the goodness and the love of God or the love of God through Joseph. And so they felt a distinct um gap or something missing that they they sought. And that is in uh verse 9 in Genesis 50. But here's the other thing. When we think about mourning and crying out, the Lord brought me to Exodus chapter 2, verses 24 and 25. It says, God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them. I think this is a mourning of both this generation and the Lord. I believe this generation is seeking something real. They're seeking God. He has put eternity in their hearts and they're looking for him everywhere, and they're coming up empty, and so they're looking for CBD and alcohol, they're looking for the metaverse, they're looking for all these other things out here, but they're not finding the true God. They're not finding love, they're not finding unconditional love that can only be poured out through the blood of Jesus and his spirit in the earth. And so the Lord's grieving because he sees that they're crying, he sees that they're in need, he sees there's something missing, he's seeing that they have not yet received him, and so he is crying out, he is mourning and grieving for their souls. Glory to God. But the cool thing here in Exodus chapter two is as the people groan and moan, that the Lord took notice. And so I want to prophesy about this generation. Yeah, some people might say, you know, they're the lost generation or they're the least religious. These things are true. However, God hears their moaning, he hears those who want to know him, and he's going to bring unusual and uncommon encounters so that they can find the Lord. Remember, when when the Lord heard and recognized Egypt's groaning after 400 years in bondage, he sent Moses, a man who came to deliver them. God sent Jesus who delivers us. And so the Lord is going to deliver those who have a hunger and thirst after righteousness. Cool thing about this generation that I'm going to share later in more detail is they might be the least religious, but we're also seeing great revival in this generation. It's being recorded and measured, and I'm going to share it with you in just a little bit. But before we do that, let's go to the 67th word listed in the concordance in the New Testament. And this word is actually a proper name, and it has to do with Agrippa, Agrippa, Herod Agrippa. So why would 6-7 be pertaining to this, especially in our current world? Well, Herod Agrippa was a very political-minded person, but he had a thirst for just a tad bit of spirituality, not much to change his heart, but he was very on the much on the fence. Herod Agrippa is the one who Paul spoke to in the book of Acts in chapter 26. He spoke to Agrippa and appealed to him. And let me read to you what Paul actually said to Agrippa, which is uh, in my view, kind of fascinating. So King Agrippa in Acts 26, verse 27, do you believe the prophets? I know you do, says Paul. And Agrippa said to Paul, Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian? So Paul discerned this brother had an ear. He had an ear for what the Spirit of the Lord was saying, but Agrippa's hard heart would not allow the Spirit of God to enter into the gate of his soul. He wanted the knowledge and the intellectual pursuit of spiritual things, but he didn't want the Lord. And that's a lot of what we're dealing with in this youngest generation. We've got more information at our fingertips than ever in the history of mankind. Yet this generation, with all of that, is not open to the gospel as we would hope. There's a lot of mixture, there's a lot of confusion, there's just a lot of information that's being thrown out there. Think about how much media there is: TikTok, YouTube. I mean, they can find whatever they want and they don't even have to pay for it most times. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, they've got their fill of whatever they want, and things are being brought into their attention they're not even looking for. And so they have all of this intellectual pursuit. They have all this access to information, but it's not the Lord. It's not the word of the Lord. And so there's a rejection of the prophetic word. There's a rejection of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. And so this generation is being mourned for by Jesus because of this. There's not never been more printed Bibles than there is now. And so it's not like the kingdom of darkness has gotten stronger and the Spirit of God has gotten weaker. No, the kingdom of God is advancing and he's taking his kingdom by force in the earth, even right now. So we've got all this intellect, but there's a need for great humility. And this is how we pray for this generation. You know, they're saying 6-7, they're mocking, it doesn't mean anything, and that's how their hearts feel, that none of this matters. Agrippa's like, you expect me to believe this in such a short time? His heart was hard because he was hopeless. He did not feel there was anything valuable enough for him to surrender all of his intellect for. And this generation needs humility in order to be different than Agrippa and allow the Spirit of God to touch them. Glory to the Lord. This generation is going to have them. And I believe our prayers are going to be very important because remember, the Lord said, it is us who, through our saying your sins have been forgiven, that folks are forgiven. He left that ministry to us. And if we don't allow ourselves to be ministers of the gospel, ministers of salvation, these things will not happen and we need to be praying. Listen to what I found on rootedministry.com as they talked about the youth culture. It says there's an overwhelming desire among youth to elevate anything but Christ. So it's like Agrippa. Youth are prone to make pop singers and movie stars their personal idols. Youth idolize the praise of man. And much of this praise for idols is a perverted picture of what the real praise truly is. I couldn't have put it any better. Listen to this, according to the Survey Center on American Life, Generation Z is the least religious generation in modern history. Affiliation with non-Christian traditions has doubled. It used to be 9%. Now it's 18%. Almost one in five people in Generation Z are affiliated with a non-Christian religious tradition. 34% of Generation X are unaffiliated with any faith tradition. And you just compare that to 9% in the silent generation. So we're seeing an expansion of people who have just not given in to the Lord and given him their faith. So it's an opportunity. So so many are hungry and crying out for something real. And they're even mocking life. 6-7. Like none of this matters. It's a laissez-faire, whatever the case. We've got all the suicide going on. There's just a lack of life because they're not finding value. And so 6-7 is a mockery of life. I can say what I want, it doesn't mean anything. Hey, I dare you to understand it. You know, they're making fun of what, authority figures and adults? And that's just them seeking the Father. They want the Father. They want the Lord. It's an attempt to say, I can say what I want, and it doesn't have to mean anything. I don't have to believe in any truth, but it's still serving God's purposes. How? This generation is going to see the Lord in powerful ways because of people like us who are paying attention. And it's already being seen. Watch this. 94% of adult Christians made their decision for Christ before they were 18. That means 6% of Christians today were adults when they came to Christ. Just 6%. The International Bible Society says 83% of Christians decided to follow the Lord between 4 and 14 years old. So 80 to 90% of people are getting saved before 18. And so they're in this youthful position in age, but it's where the faith of a child is still active. So we don't want to give up on them. The Barner group says there are 30 million more Christians today than four years ago. I'm going to say that again. The Barner group says there are 30 million more Christians today in America than four years ago. And much of that growth they are measuring in Generation Z and the millennial generation. Watch this. I'm going to quote the Barner group. Among Generation Z men, commitment to Jesus jumped 15 percentage points between 2019 and 2025. Millennial men saw a similar spike of 19 percentage points. Wow. And that represents millions of people. So let us pray into 6-7. Yes, they are hungry and thirsty after the Lord, and they're thinking that there's no Lord out there, that there really is nothing to satisfy their thirst. He said, This water I will give you. You'll never thirst again after you get this water. And that's what he's going to do. He's going to bring the power of the Spirit, encounters, the love of God, the anointing, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, healing, signs, wonders, deliverance into the earth if we continue to pray. So I'm going to wrap this up with Psalm 67. Listen to this from the NIV. It says, for the director of music with stringed instruments, a psalm, a song. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us. Let's pray this over the generation, so that your ways will be known on the earth, your salvation among all nations. May the people praise you, God. Hallelujah, Generation Z. May all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples, Lord, with equity and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, God. May all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest, the meadow of Egypt. Glory to God. God our God blesses us. May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. May Generation Z fear him. Lord, may Generation X fear you. May Generation Millennial fear you. May the silent generation fear you. God, we bless you for the baby boomers. We submit our prayers to you. God, 6-7 is not just a game. It's your prophetic sign that they're hungry, they're mourning, they're grieving because they don't think there's anything real. I pray that you break forth in their lives, that they won't be hard-hearted to the word of the Lord, and that they won't get lost in the mire and the muck of information, misinformation, disinformation, but they won't be malformed, but informed by the impartation of the Spirit of the Living God. This is our prayer in the name of Jesus. We see you doing it. We see a cloud the size of a man's hand. It's only going to grow. And God, I pray you bring now the people to run. As Elijah ran in preparation for the outpouring, I pray we will be ready to serve them and minister to them the healing virtues of Jesus Christ. Get all the glory. May all the peoples praise you, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen. Hey, if you want to bless this ministry, you can find us at FaithfireWorldwide.com. I pray that God minister to you, that there is a reason for six seven, and this is the real reason. God is prophesying through these young people. They don't even know what they're saying. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Make his face shine upon you and lift his countenance. And may the Lord bless you and keep you. Make his face shine upon you. Be gracious to you. May He lift his countenance upon you and give you peace. I do know the scripture. God bless you until next time.
