Welcome, Purpose, And Prayer
SPEAKER_02For you being here. You know, I don't know if you know this, but our society is the busiest society in the history of man. Society's never been busier than we are. And so for you to do this, obviously you're not doing it for anybody but Jesus, it's a big deal to him. It's a really big deal. You know, he he watched people giving in the temple. He sat and watched them. And it was the one who gave everything she had that touched his heart. The one that had nothing left. She's like, I'm gonna give you. And y'all are eking out the time today. Like, you got stuff on your agenda. You got to-do list stuff, you got kids, you got whatever it else. And you said, Nope, I'm gonna carve this out. And it blesses them. You know. Um, I hope you're excited. You know, what this really is about is falling deeper in love with Jesus Christ. The Bible says that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. So how we hear him, how we how we tune in is life. It's literally life. Um so I'm gonna pray for us. Is that okay? Oh, and by the way, get ready to get called on and picked on because I like interaction. So um, Father, we're here. Here I am. Um, Lord, we pray that you take note of our motive tonight. Our motive is to learn just to know you better. Uh, I pray that you remove any spooky, mystical kind of things that might have been planted in our hearts about prophecy and about how you speak, and that we can just really be available to the fact that you are speaking. I pray that the trail of breadcrumbs that brought us here becomes brighter and more available and more noticeable in our lives. We see the words that are literally guiding our path. And I pray that every drop of your oil that you have for us, you would release it. May it be a fragrant, effervescent return on your investment. And you will see us and distinguish between us and those who would rather not. Because we value who you are. I pray your voice becomes louder, clearer, sharper, and that our appetites for you increase.
SPEAKER_03Help me, God, to uh move out of the way, let me minister in Jesus' name. Amen.
SPEAKER_02Um somebody um pull up Isaiah chapter one. And we're just gonna read the first verse. Um chapter one, verse one. If we need another table, we can do it, y'all. Yeah, let's pull this one. Yeah, whoever wants to read it and let us know what translation you're reading from, and then read it for us. The first, the first, first verse. Anybody? Yeah, go for it.
unknownI have the entry.
SPEAKER_02Just one verse, yeah. That's it.
unknownThe vision concerning Judah and Response during the range of Jonah and Ahab and Hezekiah and Judah.
SPEAKER_02That's good. No, that's fine. Yeah, go for it.
unknownJonah and Ahad and Hezekiah being to Judah.
Freedom From Fear Of Getting It Wrong
SPEAKER_02Anybody find anything interesting about that verse? Moses wrote Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and he could write Genesis because he saw it. On the mountain, God showed Moses, let there be light. Isaiah, chapter one, verse one is unveiling the mystery of communication. God gives you a vision of something, he shows you, and it speaks into what he showed. So Isaiah wrote a chapter, right? We call it a chapter. He just called it a word, he called it a burden. Right? So he saw something, and then he took to the pen to write what he saw, but he didn't write verbatim, did he? Like if you read that chapter, it's not like Isaiah said, Oh, I woke up at 4 a.m. and God showed me this and he narrates what he saw. No, he prophesied the heart of God that was revealed in what he saw. He became a vessel of God's heart. He he partnered with God, speaking the language of the people that he was speaking to in their vernacular, in their cultural, at a certain time for a certain purpose, but it was the heart of God for those people, and he chose a man to partner with to show him something, and then gave him permission to write his interpretation of what he saw. Can I tell you when you're reading the Bible, you're reading someone's interpretation of what God said? God didn't say uh Moses, remember that I say and write it verbatim. No, he showed Moses and He said, I've already put inside of you the ability to write it. Spirit. Can I take the fear out of prophecy real quick? People think you're gonna screw it up. You cannot. If your motive is to serve, you know how many people argue over translations? You don't think God's bigger than your translation? People will literally argue over, oh well, the Masoretic text said this and the Septuagint said this. Yep. It's fine. You know, it's like sin. Sin doesn't outdo God. God everything worked together for our good. So let me take the spooky thing out. Like, if you're waiting for God to narrate to you what to say, it's not going to happen. He gives you authority. He said, Moses, go speak what I tell you. He said, I'm not a man of great speech. And he said, What do you have in your hand? Isn't that interesting? What did he have in his hand? He had a rod. A rod represents authority. He's saying, I'm giving you the authority to do it, Moses. Just trust me to work for you to do what I've told you to do. You don't have to overthink this thing. So what we're gonna learn in this class, this fellowship, it's gonna be a fellowship. Eventually, we'll have food and all that good stuff. My wife will get involved. There'll be tons of baking, probably. Um, I want to unleash your freedom to speak on behalf of God. You are the light of the world. Right? The Bible says that should not be hidden. The Bible literally says, what you hear in secret, it says, preach it from the housetops. So God's not afraid of your mistake. God's not afraid of your humanity. He partners with us to meet people who look like us. God chose not to be the God who comes down in bodily form and walks among us every day, every night, because he knew we'd ignore him anyway. Eventually we'd get tired of it. We'd be like, oh yeah, just like people in Exodus. It was just normal. So he chose to hide himself and put himself inside of us so that we can do it to look like us. Isn't that interesting? So I'm gonna ask a question. I want somebody, please answer it. What have you seen lately? What has God shown you that you feel comfortable sharing? Go for it. You're the brave one to be number one. What's your name? Amanda. Yes, please, go ahead.
unknownThat's good.
SPEAKER_02A vast.
SPEAKER_03Wow. So good.
SPEAKER_02Wow. Anybody else? I don't even want to move too fast from that. That's anybody else want to share something? We're gonna be sharing, guys. Yeah, go Alex.
SPEAKER_03The Hebrew word for son.
Sharing Personal Visions And Experiences
SPEAKER_02And the Hebrew word for daughter has a root, and the root means build. The root means build. Build. Like a builder. That's the Hebrew word for son and like son and daughter. So he's building you, he's building with you. And he does it with his word. He does it with the way he communicates. He's not gonna communicate with everybody's the same way. Some people are gonna hear the audible voice of God. I've smelled Jesus in a room before. It was the freakiest thing. I was in our townhome, I was on the third floor of our townhome. We were written in the townhome at the time. And I went upstairs and I smelled olive oil, like olive, in our bedroom. And I'm like, and I went and called my father. I was like, you get to another floor, right? And it's the only place. And I've, as I'm telling you this, I realize it was the highest floor. So there's that part, upper room kind of thing. But he was in the room and he wanted me to know. He just wanted me to know. It wasn't like he was, I'm not more special than anybody. He just wanted me to know he was there. Isn't that cool? It's just like that, man. Like, so we're gonna scriptures in this class. We're gonna talk about what the word says. Okay, this is not gonna be like the thing where the Bible according to Frank kind of thing. Um so I want to I want to start with this idea of treasure. Uh Psalm 2 says, Ask me and I will give you the nations. So that's that's the Father saying to Jesus, ask for me. And Jesus wanted the nations. So he's saying he wants you. So you're his treasure, but his his abiding yearning desire is to be your treasure. He wants you to feel somewhat as much like he feels about you. Like we can't. But he does it by revealing himself, he does it by unveiling his character, his person, he thinks what his what his value system is, right? Like he's all about the intimacy. I mean, for him to give us the bride and bridegroom metaphor, that's really it. It's a covenant of enduring, constant, progressive, eternal, growing in intimacy. Why do you think heaven won't be boring after a trillion years? I mean, we're gonna exist outside of time. It won't be boring because he's just that lovely. He's that lovely, that beautiful, that good, that will never hit bottom. Like we'll just always have joy, and he's the center of it. He is everything good. But he wants us to have that on earth. But we're busy, right? We got stuff to do, we got work, we have anxieties, we have fears, we have Netflix, right? And and he's trying to get us to see him better so we can see him as our treasure, right? Where does the Bible say we should lay up our treasures? You know, there's this idea that what's really valuable is not here. You know, it's in heaven, it's in his abode, his his father's house. And there's this interconnectedness he wants us to have on a more and more consistent basis throughout the day, every single day, not just Sunday. We're aware of him and what he's saying, what he's doing, how he's moving, right? And so he wants you to come into a greater knowledge of who he is as treasure because what you treasure is what you value, you value it, you value it because you're giving it worth. So, how does God get us to do this? He reveals himself, he tries to get our attention so we can recognize how much better he is than anything else. He's a consuming fire, he's a God that is jealous. I heard Oprah Winfrey say one time many, many decades ago, the reason why she stopped going to church was because she read where the Bible says God's a jealous God. And she was like, I can't understand a God that's jealous. And I and I in like back then I wouldn't like walking with the Lord. And I was like, same thing. I was like, Yeah, what does that mean? And the more I realized it's because Jesus wants it all. Like, he doesn't want us to have any other lovers. You know, the first commandment is thou shalt not have any other gods. I'm the one for you, you know. It's not because of what he did, it's because of who he is. So, priority. I'm gonna give you a lot of testimonies. And can I just be transparent? The testimonies are going to be coloring into the outline of what I'm saying. I'm trying to fill it with color.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02So I'm gonna tell you what happened to me last night. Okay? So my three-year-old has been waking up every night at 2 a.m.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02So I'm getting and I don't want her to. I want her to sleep. She's doing a lot. So I get up. This is last night. He wants to get in the bed with his mama, so I lay him in the bed. That means I can't sleep there because he's gonna kick me all night. So I went down and laid on the couch, and I could not sleep. I just couldn't. My mind was so awake. What I did was I started to try and tune into the whisper. Okay, Lord, is this ordained? Like, have I been missing it the last several nights when he's been waking up? And uh, I just discerned the Lord said he wanted me to pray. So I just started praying, and I'm like, wide awake, y'all, at two in the morning. And it was because I'd learned more and more to prioritize him at the cost of my own preference. There's a cross we all should carry. There is a sacrifice for his loving presence. The greatest revelation in the Bible is the tabernacle. I pray, I pray, I pray you stick with this course, this fellowship, I should say, long enough for us to get there. It is the greatest revelation in scripture. Hands down. It explains everything. Um steps toward intimacy with God. Everyone doesn't get behind the veil. It's those who want him. You know? So what we're gonna do in this course is we're gonna learn how to worship God. That means die daily. We're gonna learn how to see his value, and it's gonna change our priorities and our behaviors. We're gonna put him in the proper place because of his value, his treasure, his worth, he's our priority. And then we're gonna posture our beneath that, humble, sitting at his feet, resting there, waiting on him. People love to quote, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. It does mean weight. It does mean weight. Like I've heard people try to explain it. No, it means wait. Wait on the Lord. He wants to be your priority. Like, don't get up and start. No, wait on the Lord. You know, the way we posture ourselves is going to determine how much attention we're willing to give him. And it's a costly lifestyle. It's a costly lifestyle. Jesus said, He said, the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head. He was so devoted. He wasn't concerned about his address. He was just living love all the time. Okay. Has anyone had a vision of Jesus Christ in here? I know you have. Somebody has.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
Built By The Word: Ways God Speaks
Treasure And Holy Jealousy
SPEAKER_02Did it change your life? When he reveals himself, it's because he's revealing to you, your life is changing. I'm I'm taking you deeper now. I'm inviting you into a more costly relationship. I'm showing you what I don't show other people. Someone go to Mark 4 for me. He ascribed this one's parable as the most important parable in the Bible. I loved it. Yes, sir. It's about the word. The Bible says a sower went out to sow. So in Jewish culture, when they said that, the image is of a person with a bag slung over their shoulder full of seed, and they're just grabbing it abundantly in the rows, scattering the seed. And is you're doing it, and it's not about efficiency, it's about abundance. It's about just getting it, just getting a whole handful and just and walking down that row and just scattering that seed wherever it can go in there. He's a very lavish God. He's speaking a lot. Okay? I'll start reading this and um. Let's see. I'm gonna not read the King James. How about that? Let's do the NIV. Again, Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that had gathered around him was so that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake while all the people were along the shore at the water's edge. He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said, Listen, a farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seeds, some fell on the path and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. Still, other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew, and produced a crop. Some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times. And then Jesus says, Whoever has an ear, let him hear. When he was alone, when he was alone, not in the crowd, the twelve and the others around him ask about the parables. He told them, The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside, everything is said in parables. So that they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, ever hearing but never understanding. Otherwise, they might turn and be forgiven. I used to think that sounded unfair. What I had to come to realize is God knows the hearts of men and women better than I do. There were a couple times Pharaoh said, uh, I'm a sinful man, pray for me. One time. Later on, he said, uh another repentant thing. I can't remember what it was. But then the Bible says, God told Moses, I'm gonna take his heart after he had asked Moses to pray for him. That is an example of one of the types of hearts that Jesus is preaching about. It's never his fault that people don't receive the word, it's never his fault. God will do everything in his power to reach a person. But the most powerful thing on planet earth is the heart of a man or woman. A heart that is hard to God, he cannot make it change. He cannot make it change. He gives us free will to want him. So when he was alone, the people who stayed with him were the ones who ended up getting the secret. People love to be popular, but that doesn't mean relationship. I mean lately relationship. It's not authentic. And you can't trust people like that, can you? You probably had friends like that, or so-called. People that come in your life and it's just really great, and then all of a sudden it's not, they weren't there for the right reason. And so they did what they did and they weren't trustworthy. So the Lord says he won't give what is valid. But you're in this room because you know you want to know what he's not telling other people. You're leaning in. So what you need to know is God holds people responsible for what they do not understand. He just said they may be ever seen, but never perceiving, ever hearing, but never understanding. He's gonna hold them responsible for what they don't understand. Because he's not looking at the outward appearance, he's looking at the heart. He's saying, their heart is far from me. Their heart doesn't want righteousness, holiness, love. Their heart is wicked. The Bible says something wicked is worthy to be tossed out and burned. And we underestimate just how powerful Satan's devices have been to steal the hearts of people. He has stolen people's hearts, and they don't even know it. I had a man, should I tell you to God? Sure. I had a dream about Elon Musk. Man, and I know I know is the Lord showing me. God is showing me inside people's lives, bedrooms. He showed me Kobe Bryant dying before it happened. Before um Donald Trump posted the I could show you the dream the Lord showed me. And Barack Obama was exposed. And in the dream, I noticed he was exposed. And I'm not a Democrat, it has nothing to do with politics. God loves Barack Obama too. So he he wanted me to pray. I didn't know what I was praying about. Only thing I saw was he was talking to a dignitary, and he was he I looked around in the dream. I was like, where's the secret service? There's no protection. It was spiritual, he was exposed spiritually. And so then when I was I was supposed to, I haven't seen it. I don't read it, I don't get into that stuff. I knew that's what God was telling me to pray. You remember when Will Smith snapped Chris Rock? I had a dream about Will Smith the week before that. Spirit of God had me praying for Will Smith. Because I've learned to value when God speaks to me to take note of it. I write down everything. I pray. I'm not perfect, I'm not saying I pray about everything. But he can trust certain people with his word because they value it. The Bible says, go to um the 24th verse, right here in Mark 4. Same parable, he continues teaching, but we're gonna skip to this part. Mark 24. Watch this. Mark 4, 24. We're in the same chapter. Yes, sir. Um, Tanya, can you read this?
unknownThen he added, pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you wisdom, the more understanding and the faith will be getting, and you will receive even more.
Night Watches And Costly Pursuit
Waiting On God Changes Priorities
SPEAKER_02God, that should convict somebody up in the room. God, show me what to do. Give me revelation. A lot of it's locked up in whether or not you've treasure what you've already heard. He's he made you a promise right here. He said, with whatever you receive and you use, you're gonna get more. In the NIP, it says, Here. That's why I'm asking y'all to bring journals and stuff. Like, I want you to anoint your journal. It's a holy instrument of recording God's voice. It is a sanctified belonging, an instrument for you to hear. And when you get a dream or when you hear a whisper, write it down. Just just because it shows. I said, it's too hot. It was like August. I said, it's too hot now. It's about to be fall. I'm gonna go up there, I'm gonna make that my prayer room. And she just was like, stop, don't. I I yearn to know him. I yearn. Um, one of the most life-altering things God has ever shown me was Jesus in the Garden of Eden. He was crying over Eve. He's sitting, imagine Jesus sitting in a tree. It's like the coolest. He's sitting in a tree and he's got his arm around Eve and he's weeping over her. And the Spirit of God ministered to me and said, it was before the fall, and Jesus knew it was gonna happen. He was already praying. And he was already mourning the loss of physical connection. He knew it was not gonna last. And he he impregnated me with his grieving for us. So you do understand, we're all adults in here. There's a physical seed that creates human beings. Everything God does is a prophecy. When you get a word from God, He's putting the life inside of that word inside of you. Your job is to do what Mary did. Ponder it in your heart. May it be unto me as you have said. That's a righteous woman. She got an angel showing up telling her she's gonna get pregnant. She didn't spend a whole lot of time trying to make sense of it. She just said, Whatever you say, I receive it. That is the prophetic gift. It is hearing God and not trying to understand it. First, I just believe what He's showing me. I just believe what I'm hearing. And I'm gonna let it grow. And as we get deeper into what prophetic ministry looks like, when you know when to release a word is similar to when a woman is in labor. His word in me was like fire shut up in my bones. You get to a point where it is a burden to say it, and that's when it's time to say something. A lot of people get a word and they get the oh, I just had a dream. You haven't baked that word yet. You just got some grain. You ain't put the mother and the pistol to it, you ain't put no yeast in there, you don't have no dough, and you haven't put it in the oven. You have an unfinished product, and so what I just got was confusion out of timing, not cooked, complete, not full, not coming with the anointing to change something because people are so impatient. Oh my god, no, no, no, no, no. Use what you hear, process it, you know. Nobody's going home and pulling out the pregnancy test and saying, oh, let's head to the to the we're pregnant. No, there's time and attention and preparation that goes into the new life that's coming forth. And then, as Jesus says, there's a pain that's coming that you forget after that baby shows up. There's a part of prophecy that requires pain. They killed them all in the scriptures, killed them, just kill them. Persecution comes with the prophetic word. Verse 25 says, Whoever has, that means whoever receives it will be given more. Whoever does not have, that means you you're not, you're you're you're the one whose heart was hard and the seed just, or your heart was shallow and you received it at first, uh, but you didn't have root. That means you didn't have a relationship with the Lord, and so you got excited about it. You never got the word, it never really was yours. You didn't take possession of it. He says, those of those those who do not have, even what they have, will be taken from them. That's confusing. Let me tell you what he's saying. He's saying it was for you, it was assigned for you. It is your inheritance for me to have this particular thing that I'm communicating, but you never possessed it. So in heaven, it's yours, it's in the treasury, but you never get it out of the bank account. Because you don't have the proper withdrawal mechanism, which is intimacy with God, faith. Right? Any questions? Any questions? Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna talk about Samuel. Samuel. He was dedicated to God from birth. Kind of cool. His mom drops them off at the tabernacle and says, This is where you're gonna live now. And he lives with the high priest and is being trained in doing religious activity. But because he's childish, childlike, he hasn't been yet disappointed by trauma and people hurting him, he still was able to discern right from wrong, holiness from what's not holy. And so the story goes, he's asleep one night and he hears a voice calling his name. He gets up and he thinks it's Eli, the priest. Eli says, It wasn't me, huh? You can go back to bed. Samuel, Samuel. He gets up again. He goes back to Eli. Hey, what do you need? He's like, No, it wasn't me. Eli has understanding to know, okay, this is something spiritual. This is the Lord. And he said, the next time you hear him, tell the Lord, here I am, your servant is listening. Be quick to listen. That's the scripture. Slow to speak. We talk too much. I do. I don't know about you. I talk too much. I have learned to go into prayer and not say nothing. It's taken me 20 years. I'll go to prayer now and I just lay there. And I'm gonna say something. Samuel had a childlike faith. So we're seeing it in his physical stature, but it's a spiritual connotation. Is we have to become ignorant. We have got to become childlike people. People who are so endeared by just who he is. It's not about me. I'm here. You know, I'm available for whatever you want to do. And he he became the one that in the scriptures it says, not a single word he received from God fell to the ground. That means in that verse we just read, he used everything he got. He didn't waste anything that God said to him. We're gonna go that direction. Direction. Let's go to let's go to Jesus real quick. I'm gonna give you another example of the same concept in Jesus' life. And then I'm gonna show you something that's gonna kind of guide our entire time together. You know, just so you know, we are gonna do this until God says stop. So we'll meet. If it's four months, we'll meet. If it's six years, we'll meet. I don't know. I really don't. Uh it's gonna be Luke. Where is it, Lord? It's Luke two. And let's start in verse forty-one. Treasure. Samuel learned to treasure the voice of God. Luke 2, verse 41, it says, Every year Jesus' parents went to Jerusalem for the festival of the Passover, which was that this was an expectation of God instituted in Exodus that they all would appear before him for this festival. So this was an exercise that became kind of like this is what we do. This is what we do. You ever feel like that in church sometimes? You're just doing it, we'll do it. This is what we do. When he was 12 years old, 12, anybody know the meaning of 12? 12 is the number of kingdom dominion. When you see 12 in scripture, it's it's an image of the kingdom of God. When he was 12 years old, they went up to the festival according to the custom. After the festival was over, you hear that? After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus, the boy Jesus, stayed behind in Jerusalem. The festival was over, he stayed behind. So he wasn't really into like the program. After the festival was over, his parents were unaware of it. In verse 44, it says, thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days, they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. This is God listening. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding. His parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, Son, why have you treated us like this? Do you hear the conflict? Can you imagine if that was your mama? And you've been days lost. Yeah. Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you. Why were you searching for me? So good. He's basically saying, Don't you know by now? Why were you searching for me? Because the festival was over, y'all went home. Didn't you know I had to be in my father's house? That's what it says in my translation. Who's got another translation? But what does it say in verse 49?
unknownOkay? So good.
Encounters Lead To Deeper Commitment
SPEAKER_02Y'all know why there's different translations there? In the Greek, what it literally says is, didn't you know I had to be about my father? That's all it says. There's no word for house. There's no word for house there. That's our that's our best scholars trying to interpret what Jesus meant. He literally said, Didn't you know I had to be about my father? I'm about my father. I hope you feel the anointing on that. He's like, I'm about being with my father. Where is my father? Why are you searching for me? Just look for where my father is. That's where I'm going to be. I'm not here for a festival, I'm here for my father. Oh, it's so good. He had treasure that he was willing to disappoint his parents to stay near. Now we know God's bigger than the temple. It wasn't like God was saying he's only there. But there was something going on in the heart of Jesus where he discerned that Father wanted to be in that place on the GPS. I need to be here. Doing what? Listening? Asking questions. Really? Yeah. Humble. But yet still people were amazed. He was being a dude. He was showing us what it looks like to be a human with the understanding of the Holy Spirit. I'm not so, I'm so, I'm not so God that I can't listen. I'm not so much God that I can't ask questions. Do you know how many questions Jesus asks in the scriptures? So many. People ask him questions in your. Because he's trying to get you to see your own heart. What's in your heart? He doesn't tell them what's in their heart. Why were you searching for me? That's a real question. He wanted them to know. Like, my mom, why were you searching for me? Look into your heart, mom. Why were you searching? Why? Then it said in verse 50, they did not understand what he was saying. Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them, but his mother treated all these things in her heart. Friends, this is life. It's not just a divine communication life. This is just life. You will hear God better when you determine in your heart that you want to. At any cost, by any means necessary. It was four or five years ago. The Lord told me ahead of time, I'm gonna need you to pray during the Super Bowl. I didn't think it was God. I was like, ah, that ain't God. I'm gonna be eating buffalo chicken dip. So I'm sitting there and watching the game. Sure enough, I just discerned the Lord saying, okay, come pray. I'm like, nah, it's not God. Nope, I'm watching this game. Then the Lord tells me who's gonna win. I'm telling you, this happened. He said, the Chiefs are gonna win. Now come pray. I mean, and it wasn't mean. He is so passionate about us, y'all. I mean, think of the cross for a second. Close your eyes. Think of this. Think of this. Make it personal. Because he did. He's walking to Calvary, carrying a cross. He's bleeding. He's been bludgeoned. He's got a crown of thorns. He's been mocked. He's been spat on. And he knows he's going to his death. And the Bible says he has joy. And he's thinking about you personally. He wasn't doing this. He's personally saying, I have to die for you. I have to do this. I can't wait to pour out my blood so that you can come home. So you can be my sister. So you can be my brother. So we can be a family, Alex. Right? So we can have family. Yes. The devil tried to steal his family. He's no, I'm going to get my family back. And it didn't stop on Calvary. He wants you now. He wants you to have a spirit-led life. That your life is centered on his presence. So that's what I mean about. We're just going to learn worship. We're going to learn what it means to be what we've been taught about the altar. Where we're literally volunteering to put ourselves on the altar to get closer to him. To have fellowship of his suffering. So as we suffer, we get greater revelation of how much he loves us. Wait a minute. This ain't even close to what you went through for me. Wow. And I'm complaining. How much you love me. Oh, how you love me. We're going to delve into Song of Solomon. Let's go there real quick. Song of Solomon chapter 5. I got to show y'all this. Holy Spirit, what time is it? 7:30. Okay. For those of you who read your email, I did warn you, we probably won't be here out of be out of here at 7:30. Um, watch this, y'all. Somebody, please. So we're gonna talk about talk about visions, all that stuff. Somebody please read Song of Solomon five, verse two. And read it as slow as you want to. Just just take your time.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god.
The Sower: Hearts And Hearing
SPEAKER_02No. Somebody uh, please read uh another version of that. Drops of the night? Is that what it says? I hope you never see sleep the same. So did you see the different voices there? Um, read the part where he's describing her. Um, whoever wants to. Though he calls her a dove and somebody please read that again. My sister. Right? So we know God's not talking about like incest. My sister, my love, come on. It's Jesus saying, You're my sister, as your brother. Then it's Jesus saying, My love as your bridegroom. You hear this? It's like he's revealing himself in two different ways right there. What happens is as we lean in and we begin to learn what John learned with his head on Jesus' breast, he was not concerned about anyone calling him gay. He did not care what we thought. John did not care. John learned, I gotta get as close to this man as possible. If he lets me, if he if he's not offended, I'm gonna put my head on his chest. Paul said that he was like a child just weaned to the Lord. That's John. John's like, I'm gonna beat right here. Hearing his heart rate, not just his heartbeat, the rhythm, the volume. Come on, y'all. There's a closeness that we're invited to that if we really allow ourselves to be unusually pursuing of it, it will take your life over. It will make you do strange things. People will be crying and you'll be laughing. So the thing about the prophetic is people that are are attuned to the prophetic have one foot in the present, and they've got one foot in the past and one foot in the future at the same time. You only got two feet. Solomon said, with more wisdom, is more sorrow. The more you learn about Jesus, the more you hurt for this world. And you, if you thought you knew compassion, allow yourself to wake up in the middle of the night and just pray. Allow yourself to do sacrificial things to just sit at his feet and you'll learn compassion. You'll you'll you'll see people in wheelchairs and it'll make you angry and make you sad. You know, all of us have that because we got a conscience, so you know how you might respond, and sometimes you want to turn away. Jesus doesn't do that. Like Jesus walks up to the person crying and says, Can I pray? I mean, it's it's like you do weird stuff. I was at the movies. This is when I used to do a lot of weird stuff. My wife used to think I was crazy. I was at the movies and uh I saw this this family and they were wheeling out their son, and I was coming out of a movie, out of a holy movie, I don't know what it was, but like I discerned the compassion of the Holy Spirit on this young man. And I introduced and I got on my knees and I started and crying over this young man. It was the it was the Holy Spirit, his compassion. But it's over time you start to determine, like, oh, it's not weird, it's God, he's just that loving, you know. Um so Jesus is is showing us something about before. We have to be about our father. Our father gave his only begotten son. And then Jesus says, let's go there, John 14. This is an introductory course, so it's everywhere. We're just doing the introductory stuff. I love this, I love this chapter because it starts with this cool idea that Jesus' passion is for your heart not to be troubled. He he your heart is so important to Jesus. He says, Don't let your hearts be troubled. And then he says, Don't be afraid. Like he he desperately doesn't want us to fear anything: dogs, snakes, death, heights, cats, loneliness, poverty, cancer. He's like, no, please, please don't let your heart be troubled. He goes on to say, um, you know, I'm the way, the truth, and the life. Then verse 5, Thomas said, Lord, we don't know where you're going, so how can we know the way? Jesus said, I'm the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. No one does what? Comes to the Father. Did he say no one gets salvation? He did not say that. The Bible does not call the gospel the gospel of salvation. It's the gospel of Jesus or the gospel of the kingdom of God. It's about more than salvation. It's about life means all is well. All your health, mental and physical, and spiritual, your finances, your family, your property. It means all is well. It's a complete retribution for what the devil tried to steal. But watch this. If you really know me, you will know my father as well. Wait a minute. If you really know me, you do know him and have seen. He was so selfless. Jesus literally was only here to show us the father's heart. Period. Everything Jesus did was about his father. Philip said, Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us. Jesus answered, verse 9, don't you know me, Philip? Even after I've been among you such a long time, anyone who has seen me has seen the roof. Bible says, no man knows the Son except the Father. Do you think you're one of the no one? He's not interested in you knowing him. He just wants to be a vessel of showing you the Father. He's the King of Kings only because the Father says so. He didn't want to be a it's not like he was seeking to be a king. He was seeking to just be the father on earth. Why am I bringing this up? You want to know a definition of prophecy? Let's go to Revelation. What did Jesus come to do? In verse chapter 19. Chapter 19. Oh man. So this is the same John whose head was on the breast of Jesus. This is the same John who in Revelation 1 says, I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. He was having a vision. He was saying, I was not in the world as we know it. I was in the spirit realm. I was taken to a higher awareness of what's really going on. Okay? The same John has this encounter with Jesus, the same Jesus that he walked and ate with. But what does he do in verse 10? He fell at his feet. He says, at this, I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, Don't do this. Well, this is at the feet of an angel. It says, Don't do this. I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold the testimony of Jesus. Then he says, Worship God, for it is the spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus. Prophecy is simply the message of Jesus. What he's saying, what he's expressing, what's on his heart. What's on his heart, what's in his mind. You have the mind of Christ. You possess his mind. Can I take you deeper? You have his DNA. You literally were regened. The Bible says you've been regenerated. So you have his genes spiritually. You're literally a son of God. So you have access to these things. You have access to the way he thinks, which means we divest ourselves of the way the world thinks and we seek to think and be mindful of his mind. So pure, authentic, prophetic ministry is simply the pure, authentic pursuit of Jesus Christ and whatever is He doing, whatever He's thinking and doing. So Facebook, TikTok, CBS News, talk, that stuff is not the testimony of Jesus. And so do not give it your heart.
unknownDo not.
Steward What You Hear To Get More
Jesus At Twelve: About The Father
SPEAKER_02Don't get into the debates. Don't become Democrat, Republican fighting. No. He's not political. The spirit of politics and the spirit of religion are the two spirits that put Jesus on the cross. Pilate was afraid of the people. And the religious folk just thought they knew more than God knew. And they came together and they assassinated God's son. And if we're not careful, we will get drunk with politics and we'll lose sight of the testimony of Jesus. What is Jesus saying? Can I tell you something? The church, but when Jesus returns, that church is going to be so persecuted, they're not going to care about who's voting for anything. They're going to be so persecuted. This stuff we're dealing with right now, it's a scheme. Can I tell you what the Lord showed me? So I had this dream 2020. And I saw this um commander with I come to know is a commander in the um uh army of Satan, Kingdom of Darkness, and I and I'm looking at him, and he was looking away from me. And during the time we're fighting over vaccines and not vaccines, we're fighting over masks and no masks, we're fighting over George Floyd, was it racism or not? It was all crazy, right? Riots and stuff. And so I asked this demonic principality a question, right? And you're gonna say, What question? I don't know. It wasn't even about the content. So I asked him a question, and he he never looks at me and he answers after he pauses for a really long time. I can tell he was listening. So he gives me an answer. So then I asked him the same question a different way, but it's the same question. He gives he stops and pauses. He never looks at me. I'm still seeing, I'm like back here, his his side, like here. And he answers me, and the answer he gave me the second time was nothing like the answer he gave me the first time, and it was the same question. Confusion. Then I came in the in the dream, I had an awareness that this is what was happening, that he was trying to confuse me. So then um, when I came to this awareness that I wasn't gonna be tricked, all of a sudden I saw this being that he was communicating with, the one he was listening to. Have you seen Lord of the Wings? You remember the golem? My pretty thing, the thing it looked just like that. Now, can I can I give you an aside? You do realize there are people in communication with demons even when they don't know and they're they're making movies and writing books, and the stuff is literal and they don't know. They think it's out of their imagination, but it's literally the imagination of the realities of the kingdom of darkness, and they're putting it into the earth because if you can put it into the earth like Harry Potter and make it fun, now we buy it. Now we got books in our public library, kids how to cast spells. I've seen it, I've seen the book. Telling kids how to cast spells because we have Harry Potter, and everybody's trying to convince us uh it's just fun. Then why does it have to be 600 pages? Because the devil talks a lot. That's an aside. Back to Gollum. Somebody making a book, uh, making a movie about a book written by a Christian depicted a demon perfectly in that movie. Because I saw it, and when I saw it, I knew it was a higher level demon that would have been ordering the commander what to tell me. This is how structured the demonic realm is. They are an army and they follow orders. And this thing looked at me, the Dom thing, and I pointed at him and I said, I see you. And the moment I said, I see you, I realized I was in a cave, and the cave starts crumbling around me. When we see accurately what the devil's doing, what he's trying to build, can't stand. That's why he's trying to confuse us. He's trying to confuse us. The information age, you know what information does? It informs. It forms something in you. That's why he's the prince of the power of the air. So, as people of God, our assignment is to be purveyors of truth and light in the midst of darkness. The only way we can do that is starting here. Remembering who our treasure is. He will keep them in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on him. We have to be these people. We see him for who he is. So, in this course, what we're gonna investigate is the how, the why, the what, and the when of prophecy. We're gonna discuss what's the difference between a prophet and a person with a prophetic gift. You do realize the Bible says all of us should be prophesying. You might not be a prophet, but all of us should be prophesying. The Hebrew word nabi for prophet just means messenger, it means a person that brings the message. So a lot of pastors around here that don't believe in prophecy are doing it on Sunday. That's what makes me, it makes me like I laugh. I'm like, so then why did you study? You studied all week to give an opinion? No, you study because you're trying to get the heart of God to the people. That's prophecy. But then you teach them it doesn't exist. It's crazy, it's weird. Um what? The how is fun. Win is major. Is major. Why is superior. We do it to please him, we do it to know him, we do it to be with him. We do everything in Christ. Moses wrote in Psalm 90: you have been our dwelling place from generation to generation. This is the guy who watched them pick up a tent and walk it through the desert. I mean, he seemed, he saw God for who he is. He walked into the cloud for 40 days and 40 nights. God's presence was so satisfactory, he didn't have to eat. And then he went up and did it again. Moses, the only person in scripture, not even Jesus, he probably did, but we didn't, it's not written. Only person that's written in scripture that did two 40-day total fasts is Moses. 40-day total fast, no water. Because he was with God. It was like in God he had everything he needed. So let's talk about how real quick. I'm just gonna give you a taste test. The how, you want to know what it is. Media. Media comes from the word medium. A medium is a carrier, it's a way communication is carried. That's why people want to be mediums when they're in the occult. They want to be messengers of the dark side. You know a little bit about that. And it's real. They open themselves up to that and they become mediums. So the written word is prophecy. It's it's a media. It's a medium. The spoken word, music. People who don't believe in prophecy sit in a room and make a song about Jesus and they think they wrote it. Sometimes they did. There's some folk that just go in there and do it. But the people who are like sitting around, they're really trying to be about that business, they're literally getting it from the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God gives us work. He gives you faith. Everything you have comes from Him. Music. Watch this. Who has believed our report? Isaiah 53. Isaiah was a reporter. A watchman is a person who's in a position and they're watching and paying attention to what's going on when no one else is paying attention, and then they report it to the proper people. The how of prophecy is media. You might be a worshiper, a songwriter, you might be a book writer, right? Why do you think the enemy has so much horror going on in the movie theaters? Did you know the favorite genre of movies of the youngest generation is horror? That's their favorite genre. Have you noticed there's more horror movies coming out than there's two or three in the movie theater every week? And they're getting so wicked. I don't even watch them. But I but I can hear about it. So like I'm reading articles and they're talking about this one, and I can't remember the name of it. And they're like, you know, how the young people love it. And I'm like, this is crazy, man. They're so acquainted with darkness. You know? I'm the weak. Because in the heart of hearts, we knew it was real. Y'all ever do the bloody married thing in front of the kids? I'd be nice for y'all. Bloody Mary, people used to go into the room and close the door and look in the mirror and say the stupid words. I wouldn't even follow Jesus. And I was like, I'm not doing that. So the cool thing is we're gonna come in here and each of you actually gonna bring your own fingerprint to this thing. Maybe you're a writer, maybe you're a singer, um, maybe, maybe you're cinematic in the way you think. I mean, God's cinematic. What do you think a dream is? It's a mini movie, it's literally a movie. You have dreams, you notice that uh it has scenes. You ever had dreams like that? It's like one thing you see, and then all of a sudden, suddenly something else is a different scene. Same movie. He created all this stuff. It didn't come from us, he started it. You know? We'd love to hear some questions. If you have any questions about anything that we've talked about, yes, go for it.
SPEAKER_03What's that?
unknownBasically the data. But it's exactly the thing.
SPEAKER_00Is it a documentary?
SPEAKER_02It's based on is based on a real thing.
unknownSo the CS Lewis is a book.
SPEAKER_02Oh, the CS Lewis book. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_02It's not horror scary.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. And the thing is, I could be here, I could be here with y'all till midnight. And I'm not exaggerating. Because of what God has taught me through dreams. He has taught me the demonic realm. He's taught it to me. Um no, I haven't seen it. But you're really good. There's a lot going on, y'all. And one thing I want y'all to understand is prophecy is everywhere. Everything that's happening in the earth realm is speaking to something going on in the spirit realm. Everything. Can I give you an example? Wildfires. We've never seen more of them. Guess what? God's He's literally like projecting what he's trying to do in the spirit. He wants to cover the earth with his fire. But we think it's just climate change. Okay. Call it what you want. God's speaking. Floods. Bible says, the glory of the Lord will cover the earth like the waters cover the sea. This is his heart. He wants to literally, in Job, it talks about the of water. Sometimes he brings it to correct, sometimes he brings it to uh for the land, is what it says. It's all in the scriptures. But we we have to read more, we have to pray more, and then as we pray and learn and understand more how God's heart works and how he speaks, we'll notice things going on around us that people are just calling headlines. And it's like, no, God's saying something there. I used to struggle because I'm like, man, I could literally, Lord, just like pop up a camera every day and just do a brand new message. It used to frustrate me because I'm like, I don't want to do that, and I'm not. But I just like I want everyone to know what's going on, you know? Were you about to ask a question? You had your hand raised.
unknownWell, trying to get asked where nobody's like top asked.
SPEAKER_02No, go for it. We're all free.
unknownSo some years ago, uh my mom and I were like arguing, and I looked at her and her eyes they didn't.
SPEAKER_04And then when I said that question back hammer. I saw my sister like blowing up her bed when she was younger. And then after actually never like she still lost the picture to the thing. Like recently I was praying and I saw her delivered up.
SPEAKER_03Glory to God.
unknownLike hold on.
SPEAKER_03Glory to God.
SPEAKER_04But like Glory to God.
unknownI just didn't know.
SPEAKER_03That's good. Yes, God. You know, there's a lot I could probably say about that.
The Cross And A Presence-Centered Life
SPEAKER_02You know, it's really simpler than we like to believe. The enemy is a deceiver. He likes to make things look intimidating, like Goliath. But he's not powerful. We give him power. We're the ones that give So here's what I mean. You can pray and ask the Lord for insight. What's the stronghold? What's the strong man? What's the root? So a person has to agree with the demonic for them to be influenced by it. So pray and ask the Lord God, what is it that you know my sister has agreed with? And then pray against that scheme. You know, commit to leave.
unknownThat's what happens.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Because you know what a lot of times is, you know, the root of it all is a fear of something. It's usually a fear of something. Fear of abandonment is a huge one. Um fear of being alone, it's very similar. Um but yeah, it's it's it's about praying his heart. You know, ask the Lord to just break your heart for what breaks his for her and pray in agreement with whatever that is, you know. And don't think that it's doing nothing. It is. You know, Abraham was negotiating with God over an entire city. Sodom Gomorrah. Like he was negotiating with God. God was listening. Everything that I believe Abraham said, hey man, if Lot's the only one righteous there, I don't think Lot was righteous. But if there's no righteous there, I really do. He gives us so much authority, you know? I know that.
SPEAKER_00I speak over people's eyes all the time, and I see it like constantly.
SPEAKER_02Why are you like this? You know, there is um, and this is a very real thing in the prophetic community, is depression and mental illness. Um Jeremiah was probably very on much on the edge of going crazy. You know, there is such a balance required in the faith in general, but particularly when you see a lot, there's a balance required. That's why we have to stay here. Oh, I erased it. We have to stay. We have to cling. We have to be like Jacob saying, I won't let you go until you bless me. There's this part of us that wants to control God, but he actually doesn't mind it. It's like, no, I'm gonna bless you because I love you, right? I'm gonna disable you, touch the thigh, so you don't have as much ability because I need you to humble yourself. But it's being close that brings us to that brokenness and it allows us to rely on him instead of trying to make sense of stuff in our own mind. Because our minds cannot. You know, like the spirit realm is not like here, so we have to divest ourselves of the thought that we have to understand it. We don't have to understand it. I don't understand what God means when he says they're gonna be two prophets that show up in the end times and they're gonna prophesy and fire's gonna come out of them, and then they're gonna come back to life and do it again. I'm like, what? And they're still not gonna get saved? I don't understand that, but I don't have to. I just need to know what he said. Does that make sense? So there's a rest in his word. Um, but I'll be we'll pray for you um because there's a rest God wants you to have. You know, Sabbath is Jesus, the Sabbath is Christ. So there's a rest for the people of God, and I want you to have does that make sense? Like the Bible says, rest in the Lord, wait patiently for Him. So when I'm dealing with an anxiety or a fear, I acknowledge that and I say, okay, it's time for me to wait. It's time for me to rest. It's time for me to make space, go to a quiet place, and say, Jesus. And don't even, you don't have to say anything else. He's trying to get us to be like the prodigal son, running to the end of ourselves and saying, everything I need is in my father's house. Why am I doing this eating the slop when my father's got more than enough? His servants eat better than me. It's like, okay, I'm just gonna run to him. It's ordained for us to have struggles so that we'll run to him. He literally allows it so that we'll run to him. It's crazy. Because he knows us, he knows we won't unless we're in pain. Um, unless somebody has a begging question. I mean, I can hang around. Um I'll just like to tell you, I see what you see.
SPEAKER_03That's good. Oh Lord, we turn our hearts to you now. You are the comforter. I come against backlash and retaliation in Jesus' name. I command every demonic spirit and familiar spirit that seeks to intimidate, dissuade, distort, and disappoint, discourage the people of God. I command you to leave our homes. I command you to leave our minds. I command our gates to be closed to anything except the word of the Lord. Protect our gates, our eyes, our noses, our hands, Lord, our mouths. Protect our ears, Lord. I pray that they are sanctified, set apart. Some of us need to change our viewing habit. You get dull of hearing. Holy God, show us how to make those baby steps, baby steps of sacrifice to make sure that we are hearing the way that we need to hear. God, there are ministries in this room, there are books in this room, there are songwriters in this room. There are deliverance ministers in this room. There are prophets in this room.
SPEAKER_02There are preachers in this room, evangelists. There are people who are literally set apart to see their families set free.
SPEAKER_03And God, I demand of heaven every blessing. I have the authority of Jesus Christ in this church to prophesy over everyone under the sound of my voice that you will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.
SPEAKER_02Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heartly for him, and he will bring it to pass. Some of us have to wait for it. The Bible says that though it may tarry, wait for it. For those of us who need to learn that love is patient, I pray we learn to wait. I pray you sharpen our tongues in the name of Jesus. That they cut through soul and spirit. For those of us who see the demonic realm, I pray you fortify our mind. Holy God, wow. I pray the light of Christ on your mind. Illuminate our thoughts now. Teach us how to taste the words that don't come from you. Your word says that the ears taste words like the mouth tastes food. Help us to sift and throw away everything that doesn't honor you. In the name of Jesus. God, I'm thankful for these and those who couldn't make it enough. We just want whatever you are, whatever you're doing. I pray the treasure of heaven becomes our pursuit to see you daily. We can't see you physically, God, but we can see you through what you what we hear, how we read the word, how we discern whispers. God, I do pray that we are awake while we that we have opened our door so you may bring the dew of your hair to us. The gentle word of God that brings peace even in the night. Night and day, day and night, God. Release the dove that rests on us. Hallelujah. Oh, we want the dove that rests on us. Wow. The dove that rests and sits and abides. Yeah, that's a good word. The abiding of the Spirit of God. I pray it runs down from the top of our head to our feet, Lord. The oil of gladness. Oh God, we want to please you. We want to have incense burning day and night for your glory. And I pray you bring us into the ark, to the heart of God, through the veil that's already been torn. We're invited there to the ultimate altar to behold you who rests between the cherubim, ha ha ha ha, the throne of God. We're invited. For those who are about to have experiences, I pray they see them. I pray they they allow those indelible moments to just abide. I pray their memories are seared by them. The voices they're going to hear, the things they're going to see, the way they're going to discern your whispers. You they might not hear you, but they hear you. The ear inside of their heart. The ear inside of their heart is alive tonight. Hallelujah. Fan flames. Yeah. Activate. The yearning to be with you, Lord. I just pray, especially for Alex, God, there's such a burden you've implanted in him that you're going to unveil over the course of years, decades, and I pray that as he brings, he pays, allows you to guide him for how it needs to be recorded. How does he need to make it transferable? How does he share what you're downloading and imparting?
Prophetic Burden, Joy, And Sorrow
SPEAKER_03Wow, even in his own daughter, his family, may they come to know a greater amount of revelation of the tribe of Israel, the nation, the people, the family. We don't know what we ought to pray. And that's a good thing. Keep us so available. This time has been precious, Lord. We pray now that our homes are found in perfect peace. Our spouses, our children, our households are in perfect peace. And for every demonic spirit who thinks you're going to invade our sleep or influence the behavior of someone in our home beyond notice. We do not allow it. We rebuke you. We do not accept it. And we command you to leave in Jesus' name. Close every door, God. And we just want to love you. In the name of God, our Savior. Our lover and friend Jesus Christ. It's in that name we pray. Amen. Or if you feel the need to linger, just linger.
